Vietnam's national team has secured impressive results at the 2024 International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) in the UK, the Ministry of Education and Training has announced.

Vietnamese students won a total of 19 medals at the 2022 International Mathematics and Science Olympiad (IMSO), which was recently held in Indonesia in an online format.

All four Vietnamese students have won medals at International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI 2022) hosted by Indonesia. With a gold and three silvers, Vietnam ranked ninth in the medal table, after China, Japan, the US, the Republic of Korea, Iran, Ukraine, Croatia and Taiwan (China).

Vietnam's students ended their competitions at the ongoing ASEAN University Games with nine gold medals in Thailand.

All four members of the Vietnamese team that competed at the International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO) 2022 won gold medals, the Ministry of Education and Training announced on July 18.

Vietnamese students have grabbed three gold medals at the Asia-Pacific Informatics Olympiad 2022 (APIO) which was held in Egypt in late May.

All eight Vietnamese students from Hanoi-Amsterdam High School for the Gifted have claimed medals, including five golds, one silver, and two bronzes, at the fifth International Olympiad of Metropolises (IOM).

Close to 20 million pupils and students took part in ceremonies held at schools at all levels across Vietnam on September 5 to ring in the 2017 - 2018 academic year.

Vietnam ranked sixth at this year's contest.
